ARISS SCHOOL CONTACT SCHEDULED WITH FRENCH SCHOOL DECEMBER 31, 2002

Astronaut Don Pettit, KD5MDT, Science Officer on board the International Space Station, will answer questions prepared by French schoolchildren.

The René Mure elementary school, located in Commelle-Vernay, France has been selected for the first European school contact to be performed by ISS increment crew number 6.

The school is located at 45° 59’ 07’’ North and 04° 04’ 01’’ East (JN25AX). The contact is scheduled on Tuesday 31 December 2002 at 10:18 UTC (11:18 Western continental time).

Interested parties are invited to listen to Don Pettit answering questions on downlink frequency 145,800 MHz.
