ARISS CONTACT WITH ROBESPIERRE SCHOOL A SUCCESS

This Thursday 21 February 2008, Robespierre school at Rueil-Malmaison, France had an excellent space talk with astronaut Leopold Eyharts, FX0STD

During the 10 minutes radio contact the astronaut answered 16 questions.

Before the contact, the audience assisted to several presentations :

- educative activities related to space and performed by the students under guidance of the teachers’ team

- societies involved in the event : radio club F6KFA, AMSAT-France and ARISS

- presentation of the Columbus module by an ESA delegate.

The numerous audience counted authorities, students’ parents, radioamateurs and the general public.

Several media covered the event :

- Radio and TV : France Inter, RTL, Europe 1 ..

- national newspapers : France Soir, le Parisien, Espace Magazine ...

- local media of the city Rueil.
