SUCCESSFUL ARISS CONTACT WITH COLLEGE JEAN XXIII, PAMIERS, FRANCE

An International Space Station school contact had been planned with participants at Ecole & College Jean XXIII, Pamiers, France on 30 January 2009.


The VHF radio contact was performed between onboard station NA1SS and ground station F0CUQ, operated by Julien Malghem. Signals were excellent and 18 questions, prepared by the students, could be answered by NASA astronaut Mike Fincke, KE5AIT.

 

The ground station had been set up by Christophe Candebat, F1MOJ, president AMSAT France.
