AMSAT Italy was founded in June 1997 as Group of Volunteers. Its purpose is purely technical, scientific and non-commercial. As a group of enthusiast we are interested in studying the theory and practice of satellite telecommunications (in different applications) and all disciplines and subjects related to it.

AMSAT Italy aims to gather enthusiasts of advanced radio techniques, in particular those related to space field:

* Electronics: studying, designing, experimenting and building equipments, satellites and systems for radio communication;

* Education: promoting activities willing to spread the knowledge of such techniques;

* Collaboration with Research Institutes and Universities, to exchange experiences and knowledge;
